The Pakistan Business Forum (PBF) has warned that India is expected to incur approximately $1.14 billion in trade losses following its restrictions on using Pakistani territory for trade activities.

According to the forum, between April 2024 and January 2025, India’s exports to Pakistan amounted to around $500 million, while imports from India were minimal, recorded at just $0.42 million. Additionally, Indian goods valued at an estimated $640 million annually, which transit through Pakistan to Afghanistan, are likely to face significant disruption.

The PBF expressed strong support for government measures aimed at countering what it described as Indian provocations and called for national unity in response to the ongoing tensions. The forum criticized India’s repeated accusations against Pakistan, especially in the aftermath of the Pahalgam attack.

Urging a complete suspension of trade relations with India, the PBF emphasized that any resolution should be based on mutual respect and equality. The forum also condemned India’s decision to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty, labeling it detrimental to regional stability.
