The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has announced that the results for the CSS 2024 exams are expected to be released in the last week of April. The announcement was made during a hearing at the Islamabad High Court (IHC), where Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani reviewed a petition seeking to delay the CSS 2025 exams until the CSS 2024 results are declared.
The petition, filed by Hamza Javed and represented by Advocate Ali Raza, argued that holding the CSS 2025 exams on February 15 without the prior announcement of the CSS 2024 results would be unfair to candidates. However, FPSC Chairman Lieutenant General (Retd.) Akhtar Nawaz Satti informed the court that the petition was denied, as candidates would still have opportunities to take future exams. He also noted that one of the petitioners had already exhausted all attempts and was not directly affected by the scheduling.
The FPSC chairman further stated that the commission has made all necessary arrangements for the CSS 2025 exams, including the setup of 88 exam halls nationwide and the dispatch of examination papers to the centers.
Additional Attorney General Munawar Iqbal Duggal supported the decision to proceed with the CSS 2025 exams as scheduled, even if the CSS 2024 results remain pending. He cautioned that delaying the exams could lead to confidentiality issues and disrupt the examination process.
After hearing the arguments, the court reserved its judgment on the matter. The FPSC’s decision to maintain the exam schedule highlights its commitment to ensuring the continuity of the competitive examination process while addressing logistical and procedural challenges.
