Gold prices in Pakistan continued their downward trend on Monday, reflecting a decrease in international rates. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola fell by Rs. 1,700, settling at Rs. 274,500 in the local market. Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold dropped by Rs. 1,457, reaching Rs. 235,340.
This decline follows a similar trend observed on Saturday when gold prices per tola fell by Rs1,100.
In the international market, gold prices also registered a decline on Monday. The global rate stood at $2,633 per ounce (including a $20 premium), marking a loss of $17 during the day.
Meanwhile, silver prices in Pakistan remained stable, with the rate per tola unchanged at Rs 3,400.
Globally, gold prices snapped a four-session rally, pressured by a stronger US dollar and profit-taking by investors. Market participants are now closely monitoring key US economic data for insights into the Federal Reserve’s future monetary policy decisions.
