The price of gold in Pakistan surged by Rs. 2,000 per tola on Friday, following a significant drop the previous day. According to the All-Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 24-carat gold increased to Rs. 278,800 per tola, while the price for 10 grams rose by Rs. 1,715, reaching Rs. 239,026.
The price of 22-carat gold also saw an increase, with 10 grams rising to Rs. 219,107 from Rs. 217,535, as reported by the Association.
The previous day, gold prices had plummeted by Rs. 5,400 per tola, influenced by a three-week low in international markets as investors shifted towards the US dollar following Donald Trump’s election as US president.
In the international market, gold prices also experienced an uptick, rising by $21 to $2,683 from the previous day’s $2,662, according to the Association.
Meanwhile, the prices of silver remained stable, with per tola and 10 grams priced at Rs. 3,300 and Rs. 2,829.21, respectively.
