The price of gold in Pakistan saw a decline on Thursday, following a record-breaking surge that pushed it above Rs. 285,000 per tola. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-carat gold decreased by Rs. 2,300 per tola, settling at Rs. 283,100. Similarly, the price for 10 grams of gold fell by Rs. 1,971, reaching Rs. 242,713.
Earlier, on October 15, the price of gold stood at Rs. 275,000 per tola. Over the next seven sessions, it increased by more than Rs. 10,000, peaking at an all-time high of Rs. 285,400 on October 23.
In the international market, spot gold rose by 0.7 percent to $2,735.26 per ounce as of 0740 GMT, slightly below the record high of $2,758.37 reached on Wednesday. U.S. gold futures also saw a 0.7 percent increase, climbing to $2,747.90.
