Indus Motor Company (IMC), the assembler of Toyota vehicles in Pakistan, has announced a temporary suspension of its production operations from September 26 to 30, citing a shortage of parts.
In a stock exchange filing to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), IMC noted that it is grappling with low levels of raw materials and component inventory, compounded by ongoing supply chain challenges. These issues have led to a critical shortage of parts and components essential for vehicle production.
The company stated that it is currently unable to meet its production requirements due to these constraints. This is not the first time IMC has faced such challenges; the company previously shut down its plant from August 6 to 8 for similar reasons.
