After reaching a record high of Rs. 272,500 per tola on September 21, gold prices in Pakistan eased slightly on Monday. According to the All-Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 24-carat gold fell by Rs. 600 per tola, settling at Rs. 271,900. Similarly, the price for 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs. 471, bringing it down to Rs. 233,110.
Meanwhile, the prices of silver remained stable, with per tola and ten-gram rates holding steady at Rs. 2,950 and Rs. 2,529.14, respectively.
On the international front, the price of gold saw a modest decline, dropping by $5 to $2,617 from $2,622, as reported by the Association.
It is noteworthy that the price of gold was Rs. 220,000 per tola at the end of 2023, marking an increase of over Rs. 50,000 per tola in less than 10 months. This significant rise reflects ongoing volatility in the precious metals market.
