Toyota Indus Motor Company has increased the price of the Corolla Cross HEV by up to Rs1.364 million following the increase in sales tax on hybrid vehicles under the new Auto Policy 2026-31 framework.
The price revision comes after the applicable GST rate on hybrid electric vehicles was increased from the previous reduced rate to 25 percent, significantly raising the tax burden on hybrid models.
According to the revised pricing, the Toyota Corolla Cross HEV has received an increase of up to Rs1.364 million, making it one of the first locally assembled hybrid vehicles to reflect the impact of the higher tax rate.

The Corolla Cross HEV, Toyota’s hybrid crossover assembled in Pakistan, is currently offered in multiple variants by Indus Motor.
Industry sources expect other hybrid vehicle manufacturers to follow with price adjustments as companies incorporate the higher GST impact into their pricing.
The increase comes after the government allowed previous tax concessions for hybrid vehicles to expire under the updated auto policy regime, resulting in a sharp rise in the indirect tax burden on these vehicles.
Hybrid vehicle buyers are now expected to face significantly higher upfront costs, with further price revisions likely across the segment as automakers update their price lists.
