US Marine reservists voiced frustration and confusion on Reddit after receiving a directive from Lieutenant General Leonard F. Anderson IV, commander of Marine Forces Reserve, instructing them to ensure full readiness for possible deployment related to Iran.
The notice urged reservists to check their equipment, confirm training and skills, and organize personal affairs in anticipation of potential mobilization orders. It stressed that readiness is a daily responsibility and assumed at all times, warning that operations connected to Iran are already underway while US forces maintain regional stability.
Many reservists reacted online with disbelief. One post summarized the sentiment shared by others: “The hell is this… never been deployed, is this like a prep warning or something? Completely confused what my leadership just sent me.”
The letter emphasized that preparation is not a theoretical exercise but a commitment, concluding with a forceful message: “FIGHT’S ON!”
