The shares of Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited (FFBL) will be suspended from trading on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) starting Monday, December 23, 2024. This suspension is part of the process for the entitlement of shares in Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited (FFC) following the amalgamation of FFBL with and into FFC.
The Lahore High Court, Rawalpindi Bench, sanctioned the Scheme of Arrangement for Amalgamation on December 4, 2024. As per the scheme, FFBL shareholders will receive 1 share of FFC for every 4.29 shares of FFBL. FFBL has announced December 26, 2024, as the final date for Book Closure, which has been notified through PUCARS on the PSX website.
In light of this development, trading in all Futures Contracts of FFBL—FFBL-DEC-2024, FFBL-JAN-2025, and FFBL-FEB-2025—will be pre-maturely closed. The last trading day for these contracts will be Tuesday, December 17, 2024, with the corresponding settlement date set for Thursday, December 19, 2024.
Once all requirements are fulfilled, FFBL will be delisted from the Pakistan Stock Exchange. A separate notice regarding the delisting will be issued in due course.
