Indus Motor Company Limited (PSX: INDU), the assembler of Toyota vehicles in Pakistan, has announced a temporary suspension of operations at its production facility from November 27 to November 29, 2024. The decision comes in response to a shortage of raw materials and components, exacerbated by ongoing supply chain disruptions.
In a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Indus Motor explained that the company is currently facing challenges in sourcing the necessary parts for vehicle production, which has affected its ability to meet production requirements.
Given these circumstances, the company has opted to temporarily halt operations to address the inventory shortage. Indus Motor assured stakeholders that it is actively working to resolve these issues and will resume production as soon as the supply chain stabilizes
