TikTok has released its Q2 2024 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report, showcasing the platform’s proactive measures in content moderation within Pakistan. In Pakistan alone, TikTok removed over 30.7 million videos, reflecting its ongoing efforts to enhance content moderation and protect its diverse community.

Notably, 99.5% of these videos were proactively removed before any user reports, and 97% were taken down within 24 hours. These statistics underscore TikTok’s dedication to preemptively addressing harmful content, ensuring a safer experience for its Pakistani users.

The report provides transparency regarding the content and accounts removed for violating the platform’s Community Guidelines during the reporting period.

Globally, TikTok continues to prioritize and refine its automated moderation technology. In Q2 2024, the platform removed over 178.8 million videos, with 144.4 million of these removals achieved through automation. This highlights TikTok’s innovative use of detection technology to eliminate harmful content in real time.

The advancement in technology allows TikTok to scale its moderation efforts effectively, maintaining a secure environment for its expanding global community. With a proactive detection rate of 98.2%, TikTok is more efficient than ever in addressing harmful content before it reaches users. The report also notes a 50% reduction in the number of restored videos, emphasizing the accuracy and effectiveness of TikTok’s content moderation systems.
