Telenor Microfinance Bank has officially transitioned into a digital retail bank, rebranding itself as Easypaisa Bank Limited. Effective January 28, 2025, the bank will now operate under the name Easypaisa Digital Bank, marking a significant milestone in its journey toward digital transformation.
The announcement highlights the bank’s shift from a microfinance institution to a fully-fledged digital retail bank under the Banking Companies Ordinance (BCO), 1962. This transformation enables Easypaisa Digital Bank to expand its range of services, offering digital accounts, consumer lending solutions, and term deposit services through its renowned Easypaisa platform.
Under the Licensing and Regulatory Framework for Digital Banks, Easypaisa Digital Bank aims to provide a comprehensive suite of digital banking solutions. The bank is also developing new products to further enhance its capabilities, ensuring seamless financial services for its customers.
The bank’s robust operational infrastructure includes multiple service channels, such as the Easypaisa app, a nationwide agent network, smart branches, Sales & Service Centers, and ATMs. Additionally, a 24/7 help center and USSD channels will ensure uninterrupted service availability.
