A powerful earthquake rattled parts of Pakistan on Friday evening, with tremors felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Lahore, and several other major cities, sending residents into panic.

According to preliminary reports, the quake’s impact was strongest in Upper Dir, Swat, Haripur, Abbottabad, Kharian, Kohat, and Hangu, with noticeable tremors also reported in Charsadda, Malakand, Shangla, Nowshera, Faisalabad, Nankana Sahib, and Sargodha.

People rushed out of their homes, many offering prayers as the ground shook beneath them.

The Pakistan Seismological Center confirmed that the earthquake’s magnitude is still being assessed. No casualties or major property damage have been reported so far.
