Digital financial platform SadaPay has confirmed a temporary outage affecting its mobile application following a disruption in its cloud infrastructure hosted on Amazon Web Services in Bahrain.
According to the company, the issue is linked to broader disturbances impacting the AWS region, which have been influenced by recent regional developments in the Gulf. The situation escalated overnight, leading to a complete service interruption for app users.
SadaPay clarified that the outage is not due to a fault in its own systems but stems from damage to shared cloud infrastructure. The company added that several financial services across the Gulf and surrounding regions are facing similar challenges as a result.
Despite the disruption, SadaPay assured customers that their funds are secure and fully accounted for. It also confirmed that debit card services, ATM withdrawals, and point-of-sale (POS) transactions remain operational.
The company said it is actively working to restore services and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
