The Balochistan government has fixed the price of Iranian petrol at Rs280 per litre, warning that anyone selling above this rate will face strict legal action.

Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti chaired a meeting that decided Iranian petrol would be sold only within the province, preventing it from being transported elsewhere. Kalat Deputy Commissioner Munir Ahmed Durrani emphasized that no vendor would be allowed to charge more than the provincial rate.

Officials clarified that federal pricing for imported petroleum does not apply to Iranian petrol and that surcharges are unjustified. The authorities plan rigorous inspections to ensure compliance, following complaints that traders had been selling Iranian petrol between Rs300 and Rs360 per litre after the federal government raised imported fuel prices.
