The Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has implemented measures to mitigate internet disruptions caused by the outage of the AAE-1 submarine cable.

In a statement, PTCL announced that it has added additional bandwidth to improve internet performance for users across the country. While the situation has improved significantly, the company cautioned that some users may still experience slowness on Meta-related services, including WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram, particularly during peak hours.

The Ministry of IT and Telecom, in collaboration with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and PTCL, is actively monitoring the situation to ensure a complete resolution in the coming days.

PTCL expressed its gratitude to customers for their patience and understanding during this period. The company assured users that efforts are underway to fully restore internet services and resolve any remaining issues.
