Marking a major milestone of 200 million telecom subscribers in Pakistan, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has announced a special one-day offer for all mobile users. On June 20, 2025, subscribers can activate 2 GB of free data and 200 on-net minutes, valid for 24 hours, by dialing *#2200# from any network.

Latest PTA data shows mobile phone subscribers have surpassed 197.7 million, covering 80.30 percent of the population. Broadband subscriptions have reached 150 million, while fixed-line telephone users total 3.75 million.

To celebrate this achievement, PTA is hosting a ceremony at its Islamabad headquarters, bringing together telecom industry leaders, including mobile network operators (MNOs), mobile device manufacturers (MDMs), and senior officials. The event will highlight progress in connectivity and discuss future plans to expand digital services across the country.

As part of the celebrations, MNOs will provide free voice and data bundles nationwide on the event day. Additionally, mobile device manufacturers are contributing 10 to 15 mid-range smartphones to be distributed among attendees through a lucky draw, further engaging the public in the milestone festivities.
