The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced it will remain closed on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, in observance of Youm-e-Takbeer, following a public holiday declared by the Government of Pakistan.
In a notice issued to investors, the PSX stated, “All concerned are hereby informed that Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited will remain closed on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, being public holiday declared by the Government of Pakistan on the occasion of Youm-e-Takbeer.”
Youm-e-Takbeer is celebrated nationwide on May 28 to commemorate Pakistan’s historic Chagai-I and Chagai-II nuclear tests. These tests, conducted in 1998, made Pakistan the world’s seventh nuclear-armed nation and the first in the Muslim world.
