After a period of uncertainty, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is officially set to resume, with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi confirming that the landmark tenth edition will restart on May 17. The announcement puts an end to speculation over the future of PSL X, which was suspended due to escalating military tensions in the region, particularly following the recent conflict between Pakistan and India.

The remaining matches will be played under heightened security protocols, with controlled attendance depending on the evolving security situation. Karachi and Rawalpindi are being considered as the primary venues for the final leg of the tournament, as the PCB re-evaluates logistical feasibility.

While the revised schedule is still being finalized, Chairman Naqvi has confirmed that the PSL X final will take place on May 25. Only four group-stage matches remain, followed by four playoff fixtures. So far, Quetta Gladiators are the only team to have secured a spot in the playoffs, while Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, and Peshawar Zalmi are vying for the remaining three places.

The PCB is also working to reconfirm the availability of overseas players, with several international cricketers expressing willingness to return for the business end of the tournament.

The resumption of PSL X is being hailed as a testament to the resilience of Pakistan’s sporting community. The league’s return under challenging circumstances sends a strong message to fans, players, and the global cricket fraternity that Pakistan remains steadfast in its cricketing ambitions.

Despite a compressed schedule that will test teams and players, fans can look forward to high-stakes, action-packed cricket as PSL X heads toward an eagerly anticipated finale on May 25.
