Pakistan Refinery Limited (PSX: PRL) has named Mohsin Ali Mangi as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for a three-year term beginning April 30, 2026.

In a notification to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the company said its board of directors approved the appointment, replacing Zafar Ul Islam Usmani, who has been serving as interim MD and CEO.

The leadership change comes after former chief executive Zahid Mir stepped down from the role in September.

Mangi brings more than 24 years of experience across the energy, petrochemicals, and financial sectors, both in Pakistan and internationally. Over the course of his career, he has held several senior leadership positions, including chief strategy and technology officer, chief operating officer, and chief financial officer.

He has previously worked with major organizations such as Pakistan State Oil, Engro Fertilizers Limited, Engro Vopak Terminal Limited, Engro Polymer and Chemicals Limited, and Credit Suisse.

In addition, Mangi served as chief operating officer for joint ventures involving the International Finance Corporation and Royal Dutch Vopak that focused on Pakistan’s LNG infrastructure development.
