The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast widespread rain, wind, and thunderstorms across the country from March 24 to March 30, with occasional gaps and chances of isolated hailstorms.

According to the official advisory, a western weather system is expected to enter southwestern Balochistan on March 24 (evening/night) and intensify from March 27, potentially lasting until March 31.

Several regions, including Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, پنجاب, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and Sindh, are likely to experience heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and gusty winds during this period. Snowfall is also expected in mountainous areas such as Chitral, Dir, Swat, and parts of Gilgit-Baltistan.

In Punjab and Islamabad, rain-thunderstorms with possible hailstorms are forecast between March 25–26 and again from March 28–30. سندھ, including Karachi, may see similar weather conditions on March 25–26 and March 28–29.

The Met Office has warned of potential impacts, including landslides in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir, as well as flash floods in parts of Balochistan and local streams of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Authorities also cautioned that strong winds, hailstorms, and lightning could damage weak structures, crops, and infrastructure such as electric poles and solar panels. Farmers and travelers have been advised to take precautionary measures, while a drop in daytime temperatures is also expected during the forecast period.
