Petroleum prices in Pakistan are expected to decrease from October 16, 2025, according to industry sources.

Petrol prices are likely to fall by Rs. 6.10 per litre, while high-speed diesel may see a reduction of 97 paisa per litre. The price of kerosene is expected to drop by Rs. 2.75 per litre, and light diesel oil could become cheaper by Rs. 1.64 per litre.

The petroleum industry has finalized its calculations and submitted them to the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA). OGRA will now send its summary of proposed price changes to the Petroleum Division, which will forward it to the Ministry of Finance later today.

The Ministry of Finance, after consulting with the Prime Minister, is expected to give final approval for the revised petroleum prices tomorrow.

If approved, the new prices will take effect across the country starting October 16.
