High Speed Diesel (HSD) and Motor Spirit (MS) Petrol prices in Pakistan may increase by Rs. 27 per liter and Rs. 21 per liter, respectively, as regional tensions escalate, according to a report by Arif Habib Limited.

Domestic fuel prices are poised for another hike as global oil prices continue to rise due to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran. Since June 13, 2025, international prices for Gas Oil and Gasoline have surged by 9.6 percent and 4.5 percent, reaching USD 93.3 per barrel and USD 83.4 per barrel, respectively, as of June 20, 2025.

If these trends persist, local fuel prices in Pakistan are expected to rise significantly.

On June 15, the federal government had already announced a substantial increase in petroleum product prices for the last fortnight of the fiscal year 2024-25, raising the prices of petrol by Rs. 4.80 per liter and high-speed diesel by Rs. 7.95 per liter.
