The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revised plans for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11, announcing that the tournament will begin on March 26 without any spectators and with matches limited to Lahore and Karachi.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said all fixtures will be held behind closed doors until conditions improve. The opening ceremony has also been canceled.

The decision restricts hosting to just two cities, with venues in Faisalabad, Peshawar, and others dropped due to logistical concerns.

The move was made after consultations with the federal government, including the prime minister and relevant security agencies.

To manage the financial impact, the PCB will compensate franchises for lost ticket revenue, while refunds will be issued to fans who had already purchased tickets.

PSL Chief Executive Salman Naseer said franchises were kept in the loop throughout the decision-making process and expressed confidence that viewership will remain strong despite the changes.

Foreign players are expected to start arriving soon, and a revised schedule will be released to minimize travel between venues.

The PCB has also begun legal action against players who withdrew from the league despite being bound by contractual agreements.
