The price of gold in Pakistan continued its record-breaking trend on Thursday, reaching a fresh all-time high. The price of 24-karat gold soared to Rs. 309,000 per tola, marking an increase of Rs. 1,000 per tola for the day.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold per 10 grams also rose, selling at Rs. 264,917 after an increase of Rs. 857. Additionally, the price of 22-karat gold was reported at Rs. 242,849 per 10 grams.
In the international market, spot gold was trading near $2,952 an ounce, reflecting an increase of $16.6, or 0.57 percent, from the previous session. This surge in gold prices highlights ongoing trends in both local and global markets.
