The National Cyber Emergency Response Team (NCERT) is set to launch a high-tech Cyber Operations and Defense Emulation Lab under the “Cyber Security for Digital Pakistan” initiative, marking a major step in bolstering the country’s digital defenses.
The lab, being developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, will simulate sophisticated cyber attacks, enabling public, private, and defense sector institutions to test their response systems and strengthen security measures in a controlled environment.
The facility will be equipped with advanced hardware and software capable of emulating real-world cyber threat scenarios, helping organizations enhance their incident response capabilities and prepare for emerging digital risks.
Bidding for the project is being conducted via a Single Stage Two Envelope procedure on the e-PADS platform, ensuring transparency and competitive evaluation.
As part of Pakistan’s broader Digital Pakistan vision, the lab is expected to significantly improve the nation’s cybersecurity infrastructure, giving government agencies and critical sectors the tools to defend against increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.
