Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb told the Senate Standing Committee on Finance that Pakistan is not directly affected by the ongoing regional war, but the government is keeping a close watch on developments.

He emphasized that the fast-changing geopolitical landscape requires timely decisions, particularly concerning energy procurement and pricing strategies.

Aurangzeb added that the government has established a ministerial committee, chaired by the prime minister, which meets daily to monitor petroleum product supplies and pricing.

The committee reviews global market trends to ensure that Pakistan’s energy supply chain remains stable and uninterrupted, safeguarding domestic availability amid international uncertainty.
