The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority has reopened airspace in Lahore and Karachi just hours after India launched attacks on multiple cities across Pakistan.
In a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued Wednesday, the aviation authority confirmed that the airspace, which had been closed for 48 hours as a precaution, is now open for use. Passengers have been advised to stay in contact with their airlines as the regional situation continues to evolve.
The authority emphasized that airlines retain the final authority to determine flight routes and schedules in light of ongoing developments.
The temporary closure and heightened security measures at key airports followed Indian strikes at six locations in Pakistan on Tuesday night, prompting the aviation authority to put airports nationwide on high alert.
