Pakistan received a record-breaking $38.3 billion in remittances during the fiscal year 2025, marking a 27 percent year-on-year increase, according to the latest data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Wednesday. This represents an $8 billion jump from the $30.3 billion received in the previous fiscal year.
Remittance inflows for June 2025 stood at $3.4 billion, up 8 percent compared to June 2024, when the country received $3.2 billion. However, on a month-on-month basis, June’s remittances were down 8 percent from the $3.7 billion recorded in May 2025.
Topline Securities noted that FY25 marks the highest annual remittance inflows in Pakistan’s history.
The bulk of June’s remittances came from Saudi Arabia $823 million), the United Arab Emirates $717 million), the United Kingdom $538 million), and the European Union $442 million).
