The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced plans to open applications for an additional 5,000 pilgrims under the Hajj scheme in the coming days. The decision was revealed during a meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Religious Affairs, chaired by MNA Aamir Dogar, which focused on preparations for the upcoming Hajj season.

During the session, officials emphasized that food quality for pilgrims would not be compromised, and the importance of enhanced training to guide pilgrims effectively was discussed. Committee member Mujahid Ali stressed the need for proper instruction for those performing Hajj, while Aamir Dogar acknowledged progress in raising awareness and providing training at Hajj camps.

In response to a query by Asiya Naz Tanoli regarding the absence of Pakistan Houses in Makkah and Madinah, the Secretary of Religious Affairs explained that Saudi laws prohibit the construction of such facilities on independent land. The Secretary also highlighted changes in services, noting that previously free amenities, such as water coolers, now require payment. Despite these challenges, he assured the committee that the Ministry is committed to ensuring all necessary facilities are available for pilgrims.
