Mari Energies Limited has signed multiple project agreements with major fertilizer manufacturers for its Pressure Enhancement Facilities (PEF) Project at the Mari gas field, aimed at sustaining gas supply to key industrial consumers.
In a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the company said the agreements were executed with Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited, Engro Fertilizers Limited and Fatima Fertilizer Company Limited, all major consumers of gas from the Mari field.
The PEF project is designed to maintain the required delivery pressure of gas from the Habib Rahi Limestone (HRL) reservoir through debottlenecking of pipelines and the installation of compression facilities at various points across the gas gathering network. The initiative also includes related operational upgrades to improve field performance.
Mari Energies said the project is expected to help sustain production levels, extend the production plateau of the field and ensure a reliable supply of indigenous gas to fertilizer plants. The company added that the development would support domestic urea production and contribute to national food security by strengthening feedstock availability for the fertilizer sector.
According to the company, the project aligns with its broader strategy to optimise gas field operations and enhance supply reliability to key industrial consumers.
Mari Energies operates the Mari gas field in Sindh, one of Pakistan’s largest natural gas reservoirs. The company is engaged in the exploration, development and production of hydrocarbons, including natural gas, crude oil and condensate, supplying energy to major sectors such as fertilizer, power generation and industry.
