Mari Energies Limited has commenced gas and condensate production from its Spinwam 1 discovery in the Waziristan Block of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the company said in a disclosure to the Pakistan Stock Exchange. The well has entered the Extended Well Testing (EWT) phase.
The Spinwam 1 well, completed in the Lockhart reservoir, is currently producing approximately 40 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (MMscfd) and nearly 200 barrels per day (bpd) of condensate.
With the addition of Spinwam 1, the early production facilities at Shewa are expected to operate at full capacity. Combined output from the Shewa and Spinwam wells is projected to reach 100 MMscfd of gas and 800 bpd of condensate.
Mari Energies holds a 55 percent working interest in the Waziristan Block, while Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) owns 35 percent and Orient Petroleum Inc. holds 10 percent as joint venture partners.
The new production is expected to bolster Pakistan’s domestic gas supply, supporting both local energy needs and the country’s broader energy security strategy.
