The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced a fuel subsidy for motorcyclists to ease the burden of rising petroleum prices.

Officials said the province has around 1.4 to 1.6 million registered motorcycles, and each rider will receive Rs. 2,200 in two installments to help cover travel costs.

The move aims to provide direct financial relief amid surging fuel prices. The government has also decided to keep Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) fares unchanged despite inflation and plans to introduce dedicated pink buses for women with lower fares for female passengers.

Additionally, the provincial administration is preparing a special agricultural relief package for farmers ahead of the upcoming wheat harvest.
