JazzCash, the Pakistan’s leading fintech platform, has introduced its latest feature, ‘Tap-Pay for Businesses’.
This wservice enables over 350,000 businesses nationwide to accept payments directly through their Android smartphones, as announced in a press release on Monday.
The ‘Tap-Pay’ feature allows businesses to effortlessly receive payments from any contactless debit or credit card or another smartphone by simply tapping on the businesses’ NFC-enabled devices.
This advancement is set to transform the payment landscape for small and medium enterprises, providing a seamless and efficient transaction process.

The launch of ‘Tap-Pay’ comes at a time when over 47 million debit and credit cards are in circulation in Pakistan. According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), card purchases on POS machines totaled Rs394 billion in the third quarter of the fiscal year 2023-24.
By enabling businesses to tap into this vast market, JazzCash is opening new revenue streams and fostering greater financial inclusion across the country.
