The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has restored the interim bail of Dr Fazeela Abbasi in a money laundering case, providing significant relief to the celebrity dermatologist amid ongoing legal proceedings.

Justice Muhammad Azam Khan ordered Dr Abbasi to submit surety bonds worth Rs100,000 and restrained authorities from arresting her during the interim period. The court also directed her to approach the trial court for further legal proceedings.

The decision came after arguments were heard regarding the cancellation of her earlier interim bail. Following the hearing, the high court reinstated the relief and allowed the case to proceed before the relevant trial forum.

Background of the Case

The development follows a major legal setback earlier when an Islamabad sessions court cancelled Dr Fazeela Abbasi’s interim bail in a high-profile money laundering investigation involving alleged financial transactions worth Rs25 billion.

According to reports, investigators traced approximately Rs. 25 billion across multiple bank accounts linked to Dr Abbasi, with funds allegedly transferred abroad. This prompted further scrutiny by authorities.
