The Sindh provincial government has unveiled a targeted petrol subsidy of Rs. 2,000 per month for motorcycle owners, aiming to ease the burden of rising fuel costs after the recent surge in petrol prices.
According to Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, the relief is part of a broader federal scheme and will be disbursed directly to registered owners’ bank accounts.
Who Qualifies?
Only motorcycles registered in the owner’s name are eligible.
Applicants must have a valid CNIC and provide their bank IBAN to receive funds.
How to Apply
- Enter CNIC
- Verify that the vehicle appears under their name
- Submit bank details for the cash transfer
Owners whose bikes are not yet in their name should complete the transfer process promptly, as vehicles not registered to the applicant will not show up in the system and will be disqualified.
When Payment Is Expected?
The monthly subsidy payments are likely to begin around mid‑April, with transfers scheduled between April 15 and 20 once the app is operational.
This support is structured as a cash transfer — not a fuel discount at petrol pumps — but is intended to roughly match a Rs. 100 per litre saving on up to 20 litres of petrol per month.
