The federal government has formally declared Gwadar Airport as an international airport.

Following the development, international flights will fly and land at the airport. Besides, the airport will also be used for the transportation of cargo.

In this regard, FBR has issued two notifications. As per the first notification issued under section (9), the Gwadar airport is declared as an international airport while the second notification issued under section (10) legally allows passengers to take international incoming and outgoing flights at Gwadar International Airport.
