The federal government has ruled out any immediate increase in Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) prices, despite ongoing fluctuations in global energy markets.
Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik informed the Senate Standing Committee on Finance that LNG tariffs are typically reviewed twice a year, in January and July, and no off-cycle revision is being considered at this time.
Officials also updated the committee that liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) imports from Iran remain steady and have not been impacted by regional tensions.
The government emphasized that energy supply management continues to be a priority, and no immediate changes in domestic LNG pricing are planned.
