The federal government has announced revised petroleum prices for the next fortnight, introducing slight reductions in the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel. According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs. 0.50, bringing it down to Rs. 255.63 per liter.

Similarly, the price of high-speed diesel has been decreased by Rs. 5.31, now priced at Rs. 258.64 per liter. The new rates will take effect from midnight on March 1.

In the previous fortnightly review, the price of petrol was reduced by Rs. 1 to Rs. 256.13 per liter, while high-speed diesel saw a reduction of Rs. 4 per liter, bringing it to Rs. 263.95.

The government continues to charge a petroleum development levy of Rs. 60 per liter on both petrol and high-speed diesel, along with an additional Rs. 16 per liter in customs duty on these products.
