The federal government has decided to appoint Secretary Power Rashid Mahmood Langrial as the new Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), high-level sources confirmed to Raised by Numbers.

According to sources, the Establishment Division has proposed Rashid Mahmood Langrial’s name for the position. The current FBR Chairman, Amjad Zubair Tiwana, has applied for early retirement due to personal reasons.

Rashid Mahmood Langrial has been serving as the Secretary of Power for nearly two years. His name was considered for the Chairman FBR position a year ago, but the government ultimately appointed Amjad Zubair Tiwana at that time.
