The federal government has announced revised petroleum prices for the next fortnight, with increases in the prices of both petrol and high-speed diesel. According to the notification, the price of petrol has been raised by Rs. 3.47, bringing it to Rs. 256.13 per liter.

Similarly, the price of high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs. 2.61, now costing Rs. 260.95 per liter.

The new rates, notified by the Ministry of Finance, will take effect from January 16, 2025.

This follows the last fortnightly review, during which the government increased the price of petrol by Rs. 0.56 to Rs. 252.66 per liter and high-speed diesel by Rs. 2.96 to Rs. 258.34 per liter.
