Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Chaudhry Salik Hussain has announced that all Hajj 2024 applications submitted by the initial deadline of December 3 have been approved. This includes applicants under the Sponsorship Scheme, who are exempt from the lottery process.
Addressing concerns from prospective pilgrims, the minister confirmed that every application received before the deadline has been accepted. To accommodate more applicants, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has extended the application deadline by seven days, allowing submissions through designated banks until December 10.
While all current applications have been approved, the minister noted that a lottery may be conducted if the number of submissions surpasses the allocated quota. He assured applicants that any such process would be conducted fairly and transparently.
Overseas Pakistanis applying under the Sponsorship Scheme must deposit the required funds by December 10 to secure their spots. To assist pilgrims, the ministry has recommended using the Pak Haj mobile app for updates, guidance, and information related to the pilgrimage.
The extension of the deadline aims to address logistical challenges faced by applicants and ensure equal opportunities for those planning to perform Hajj. The ministry has urged applicants to complete all necessary formalities promptly to avoid any complications.
This move reflects the government’s commitment to facilitating pilgrims and ensuring a smooth application process for Hajj 2024.
