The federal government is expected to announce another increase in petroleum product prices on July 15, 2025, with new rates taking effect from July 16. According to projections by Arif Habib Limited (AHL), the price of Motor Spirit (MS) is likely to rise by Rs. 3 per liter, while High-Speed Diesel (HSD) may see an increase of Rs. 0.78 per liter.

If implemented, the new prices will set MS at Rs. 269.80 per liter and HSD at Rs. 273.80 per liter.

AHL attributes the anticipated hike in MS prices mainly to a rise in the premium on the product itself. This comes on the heels of the last fortnightly review, when the government raised petrol prices by Rs. 4.80 per liter and high-speed diesel by Rs. 7.95 per liter.
