The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a nationwide weather advisory warning of heavy rain, thunderstorms, and isolated hailstorms across multiple provinces from April 1 to April 4, 2026.
A westerly weather system is expected to impact Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Sindh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir, bringing heavy rainfall, hailstorms, and snowfall in mountainous regions.

- Balochistan: Heavy rain, thunderstorms, and isolated hail expected in Quetta, Turbat, Panjgur, Gwadar, Khuzdar, Chaghi, Mastung, Kalat, and surrounding districts.
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Rain and thunderstorms with snowfall in mountains of Chitral, Swat, Dir, Malakand, Mansehra, Abbottabad, and more. Isolated heavy falls possible.
- Punjab & Islamabad: Rain-thunderstorms with hail in Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, and other districts. Heavy rain expected in Dera Ghazi Khan area.
- Sindh: Rain and thunderstorms with isolated hail in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Tharparkar, and other districts.
- Gilgit-Baltistan & Kashmir: Rain and thunderstorms with snowfall in Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, and nearby areas. Isolated hail in Kashmir.
Possible Impacts:
- Flash floods in northeast Balochistan and hill torrents in Dera Ghazi Khan and northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
- Landslides in vulnerable areas of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir.
- Damage to weak structures, crops, and electric poles due to hailstorms and strong winds.
- Drop in daytime temperatures across affected regions.
