The federal government has declared a four-day public holiday for Eid ul Adha, running from June 6 to June 9, 2025. The decision, approved by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, will be formalized with an official notification from the cabinet division in the coming days.

During this period, all government and private offices, educational institutions, and banks across Pakistan will remain closed, as confirmed by Prime Minister Sharif.

The announcement comes after the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, led by Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, confirmed the sighting of the moon on May 27. As a result, Eid ul Adha will be celebrated nationwide on June 7.
