Gold prices in Pakistan continued their upward trajectory on Wednesday, extending strong gains driven by a sharp rise in the international market a day earlier.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs. 15,200 to reach Rs. 479,262. Similarly, the price of 10 grams climbed by Rs. 13,031 to Rs. 410,889.

The latest surge follows a significant jump on Tuesday, when gold rose by Rs. 16,300 per tola to Rs. 464,062, reflecting heightened volatility in global markets.

Internationally, gold prices climbed by $152 per ounce, reaching $4,565, with an additional premium of $20, further fueling the increase in domestic rates.

Meanwhile, silver also registered gains, rising by Rs. 370 to settle at Rs. 7,824 per tola.
