The price of gold in Pakistan has reached an unprecedented high, soaring to Rs. 268,000 per tola on Monday. This marks the third time in the past week that gold prices have breached their all-time high, according to data from the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 24-carat gold increased by Rs. 1,700 per tola, while the price for 10 grams rose by Rs. 1,458, reaching Rs. 229,767. This surge follows a series of record-breaking increases last week, with gold prices hitting Rs. 264,000 per tola on September 11, then climbing to Rs. 265,900 on September 13, and further rising to Rs. 266,300 per tola on September 14.

In the international market, gold prices also reached new heights. Spot gold increased by 0.5 percent to $2,588.29 per ounce as of 0551 GMT, while US gold futures saw a 0.2 percent rise, reaching $2,615.80.
