Gold prices in Pakistan saw a modest increase on Wednesday, tracking gains in the international market, which edged closer to $5,200 per ounce.
Locally, the price of gold per tola rose by Rs. 1,300 to close at Rs. 541,262. Similarly, the 10-gram gold rate increased by Rs. 1,114 to Rs. 464,044, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
For comparison, on Tuesday, gold per tola had ended at Rs. 539,962, having gained Rs. 3,400 during the session.
In the international market, gold rose $13 to $5,185 per ounce, carrying a premium of $20. Silver also strengthened, climbing Rs. 268 to settle at Rs. 9,554 per tola.
