Gold prices in Pakistan saw a sharp increase on Monday, with the price of 24 karat gold rising by Rs. 4,000 per tola to reach Rs. 342,500, up from Rs. 338,500 on the previous trading day, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association.

This surge follows a volatile week in the gold market, where prices dropped by Rs. 12,400 per tola despite back-to-back gains of Rs. 900 and Rs. 2,400 per tola on Friday and Saturday, respectively.

The price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold also climbed by Rs. 3,429, settling at Rs. 293,638 compared to Rs. 290,209 previously. Similarly, 10 grams of 22 karat gold rose to Rs. 270,348.

Meanwhile, silver prices remained stable, with per tola silver closing at Rs. 3,410 and 10 grams at Rs. 2,923.
